Connecticut's visitors arrive by air (landing at Hartford/Springfield, also known as Bradley Field), train (we recommend using New London, Connecticut, or Springfield, Massachusetts as destinations; CAUTION: rental cars are available reliably ONLY at the airport!), and automobile. Since each New England state is relatively small, think of your visit as a "regional" one. Within a two-hour car trip of Hebron, you can reach Boston, New York City, (and all the cities in between!!) the Atlantic Ocean, the ski areas of Vermont or New Hampshire, the Berkshire region in Massachusetts (home to many fine arts groups, ski resorts, and festivals), Lime Rock Race Track (for the car buffs among you), casinos, or major shopping outlets. Many of our course attendees visit exhibits at the USS Nautilus & Submarine Force Museum, Mystic Marinelife Aquarium or Mystic Seaport. The possibilities are truly endless! The state of Connecticut maintains an extensive "vacationers' guide" to events, hotels, historic sites, and more. Click here to visit the Connecticut State Tourism site. Hebron is a small town located in the eastern portion of the state. Check Mapquest for a detailed map of the area, or driving directions. To reach us, you will need a car, since no public transportation serves Hebron; from our offices, it's approximately 35 miles to the airport, and about 25 miles to Hartford (trains) or 40 miles to New London (trains). To visit the town's website, click here. We maintain a file of information about Bed & Breakfast facilities, a local hotels directory, and a "stash" of brochures from local attractions in our office. If you have registered for one of our courses, hotel information, driving directions and car rental information will be mailed to you with your course confirmation. According to Mark Twain--one of our local heroes here in Connecticut--"if you don't like the weather here, just wait a bit!" Yes, the weather in New England can be a bit changeable.
