This is the only course taught by the health physicist
who assisted with the development of the 1999 changes to Subpart H of 10 CFR 20, and Revision 1 to
Regulatory Guide 8.1. It includes discussions of both
regulatory compliance and strategies for developing and implementing effective programs.
Emphasis is given to establishing one respirator program which meets the requirements of
both OSHA and NRC. Time is available for solving problems posed by students. (32 credits,
AAHP; 3 CM points, ABIH)
