This kit is intended for use in training demonstrations. Why purchase a kilogram or a liter of material when all you need are a few grams? This kit provides samples of the following:
-uranyl acetate (green solid)
-potassium chloride (off-white salt)
-uranium ore (brown sand)
-thorium oxide (TIG welding rod segment)
-uranium (glass marble)
-thorium (lantern mantle segment)
Each sample (except the uranium-glass marble) is firmly fixed to a planchet with epoxy. The quantity of each sample is in the range of 10 to 20 Bq (0.00027 µCi to 0.00054 µCi). None of these require licensing from Federal or State regulators, and may be shipped without any “radioactive” labels or Declaration for Dangerous Goods. These materials are exempt from all international and United States shipping requirements.
